Somewhere between Wagga Wagga and Coolamon in the south-west of New South Wales is arguably one of the best preserved old-time community halls in the state. Everything is in good working order; the dance floor is sound, the acoustics and lighting is just right and when the monthly bush dance is in full swing, a very precious part of Australia's history comes to life with an atmosphere non-existent in larger metropolitan areas. The Downside Bush Dance has been running continuously, on the first Saturday of each month since 1971, yet it maintains that 70s (and beyond) feel to it. A great time for the whole family and just 20 minutes out of Wagga! Join them and enjoy a night of music and dancing at the Downside hall every month (except January). Time 7.30 pm to midnight. ...1 Gold Coast welcomes Downside Bush Dance in Wagga Wagga NSW 2650, we provide a friendly relaxing restaurant and bar.
